Louis Qiu is a student at St. George’s School whose love of problem solving has taken him to math competitions around the world. He co-led Team USA to team gold medals at the 2025 Vietnam International Mathematics Competition and the 2026 Mongolia International Mathematics Competition (MIMC), where he also earned an individual silver. He also won individual gold at the India International Mathematics Competition. He earned a perfect score on the AMC 8, is a four-time AIME qualifier, and has qualified for both the USAJMO and the CJMO. At BC Math Challengers, he was the Grade 8 provincial champion in both the Written and Face-Off events. At UBC’s Elmacon contest, he placed first in the Grade 7 Written round and second in the Face-Off. He was also invited by the Canadian Mathematical Society to attend Canada Math Camp.

Beyond math, Louis is a recipient of the CSSHL Pat Quinn Scholarship and a talented alpine skier who won the provincial championship in 2024.
